Why I am running for this office: My name is Dan Christopher and I am running for the office of Klickitat County Commissioner for District 3. I am running for this position because I believe if we choose someone proven to be devoted to our county, our community, and our people, we can finally get a local government that serves “All” of our people, and not just the special interest groups, corporations and large campaign donors like it is now. Yeah see a small group of republican good old boys run the show, and call the shots in district 3. Under their control district 3 has become a community of poverty and despair. It’s wrong, and our people need help. If you look at the primary election results, you will hear our people shouting from the rooftops for your help. The primary election was a huge victory for our people. Our campaign received tremendous bipartisan support. We finished with over 53% of the vote in a 3 person race. Our campaign had 1554 votes. Our establishment republican opponent Mr. Sizemore only had 28% or 827 votes. We beat him by 727 votes. That’s huge! It was the largest primary victory in Klickitat County in decades. We won 9 out of 10 precincts by large numbers. I am asking you to look at the primary results. Have faith in the democrat and republican voters of distinct 3. They are the people that know the candidates best. They are the people that know our hearts! The voters in district 3 want change. They need change. Don’t force upon them a leader that 3 out of 4 voters say they don’t want. That’s just wrong! Honor our people, honor their vote! A vote for Dan Christopher in district 3, is a vote that helps "All" of our people!
